Some people collect cards and others stamps but I on the other hand just love and I mean LOVE shopping for stationary supplies. From notebooks to coloured pencils to markers, I just want to have them all. These past months, I've been going to a lot of book stores and have found a couple of things I can now call my favorites.
1. Sketch Book

I was walking around the Department Store in Robinsons Forum and I found this. At first, I thought it was a book of some sort but then when I got closer to it the front cover had the words "Sketch Book" on it and I just HAD to get it.

I've had a lot of sketch books and I have never seen one like this. It's very simple, it has a lot of pages and it's just the right size. I like the idea that I could have a book full of drawings and doodles rather than just having a gigantic sketch book with a small number of pages.

I just love this and if you love to draw or doodle, I recommend that you purchase this. I've already drawn on a couple of pages and I just do not regret buying it at all.
You can find this at the Stationary Section in Robinsons Department Store. It's by the brand "520" if i'm not mistaken and it was around PHP299 to PHP350.
2. Colored Pencils

About a month ago, we made a stop to National Bookstore before we had dinner. I wasn't really planning to buy anything but then these caught my attention. They were a set of coloured pencils that had black wood and paint.

I thought this was very simple and classy for a set of coloured pencils. Although, I would only recommend people who are looking for basic or medium quality type of pencils to purchase this because if you're a stationary hoarder like me or an artist, this may not be the best coloured pencils you will ever own or use. But if you're just looking for pencils for school then I think these would be good for you.

You can get this at any National Bookstore branch as it is their own product. I bought this for PHP100 which I think is actually a reasonable price for it's quality.

But if you are looking for a high quality type then I would definitely recommend you to purchase colored pencils by Faber Castell. They come in different set of numbers and you can even choose whether you would like it to be a classic set or a watercolor set which means you can just take a wet brush and apply it to whatever you colored and it instantly turns into watercolor. I have been in love with this brand since I was first introduced to colored pencils. You can buy this at any National Bookstore branch and the ones I got range about PHP500 to PHP600.
3. Journals

Here in the Philippines, we don't exactly have the cutest school supplies. But as I was shopping for the giveaway I just had, I saw these really colorful, fun and pretty journals. I was actually pretty surprised when I saw these because again, we rarely have cute school supplies or at least in my opinion anyway. They're also really affordable, they come in different sizes and they have a whole range of designs to choose from.

I recommend these journals especially if you're left handed like me since they don't have spirals on it. I will definitely go back purchase more of these lovely journals.
You can get this at any National Bookstore branch. The sizes I got are around PHP39 to PHP49 and the larger ones are around PHP49 to PHP59.
4. Portfolio

Before school begun, I wanted to get something really nice to put papers and files in. As I was looking for shops online, I discovered a shop called "Fab Manila Bags" and I just loved everything they had. They have really cute bags, stationary, travel essentials and etc. Everytime I go on their website I just want to buy everything. During their Back to School collection, I saw these really pretty Leather Portfolios. They came in all sorts of colors and designs for the inside of the Portfolio. I went to their branch at Greenbelt and purchased a Pink one.

The one I got has colorful stripes inside, 2 big pockets, 2 smaller pockets and a tiny zipper pocket at the back of the Portfolio. This was a bit pricey though so I don't think people would buy this unless they really wanted to invest in a good and stylish place to store all their files in. I purchased this for PHP999 and you can go visit their website for more information.

5. Colored Pens

In school, I see a lot of people who have this set of colored pens. They all seem to love it so much and I was pretty interested in getting my own as well. They come in different number of sets and it's case can actually stand on it's own. They have really good quality ink and they look very sleek. A good thing about it as well is that it's ink does not actually dry up even without the cap on. If you love doodling or are just looking for a good set of colored pens I would really recommend you to purchase this. They are by the brand Staedtler and i'm not quite sure how much I got them for but if you really would like to know, please leave a comment or send me message so that I could check for you. You can buy this at any National Bookstore branch.

So far, those are some of stationary supplies I have discovered. If you want me to do more of these please do let me know in the comments so that I could go hunt for more. Well, even if you don't want me to do another one of these i'm probably going to since I am a stationary addict.
